WAPCOS is seeking experts for the “Consultancy Services for Technical Support Agency (TSA) to the National Program Management Unit (NPMU)” under the Atal Bhujal Yojna project. This initiative aims at sustainable groundwater management, and experts will play a pivotal role in supporting its objectives.

Qualification:

• Post Graduate in Geology or Hydrogeology.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the water sector.

• Strong technical expertise in hydrologic monitoring, groundwater resource estimation, quality monitoring, and artificial groundwater recharge (ARG).

• Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and grassroots level experience with farmers and civil society organizations is essential.

Job Description/Scope of Work:

1. Advise the NPMU on all aspects related to Hydrogeology.

2. Develop farmer-friendly data storage/analysis procedures in GIS.

3. Assist in designing farmer-friendly crop-water information kiosks.

4. Refine the crop-water budgeting package for use by Gram Panchayats (GPs).

5. Facilitate linkages between GPs and water-based institutions at district and state levels.

6. Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports, in consultation with team members, on a semi-annual basis.

7. Perform field visits for data collection and verification, and prepare analytical reports.

8. Provide inputs for progress reports.

9. Lead a multidisciplinary team (including experts from various domains like communication, agriculture, social development, and environmental management).

10. Coordinate activities among all experts of the TSA and NPMU.
