Organization Details :

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a statutory authority established under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It is entrusted with the responsibility of issuing Aadhaar, the world’s largest biometric-based digital identity. UIDAI is at the forefront of driving digital transformation, data security, and e-governance in India. Headquartered in New Delhi, UIDAI also operates a high-tech Technology Centre in Bengaluru and multiple Regional Offices across India. Its initiatives play a pivotal role in streamlining service delivery and promoting financial inclusion. UIDAI collaborates with academic institutions and research scholars through internship opportunities aimed at nurturing future leaders in technology, law, public policy, and digital identity ecosystems.

Internship Objective

• Offer practical work experience to young academic talent.

• Exposure to application development, cybersecurity, blockchain, machine learning, and legal/administrative functions of UIDAI.

• Foster mutual learning between UIDAI professionals and students from reputed institutions.

 Eligibility Criteria

🔹 For Technical Fields:

• Graduate Students (B.Tech/BE/B.Design/B.Graphic)

  • Final or pre-final year (3rd/4th year) OR

  • Graduated within the last 6 months

  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA

• Postgraduates (M.Tech/ME/M.Des/MCA)

  • Final/pre-final year OR

  • Graduated within the last 6 months

🔹 For Other Fields:

• Graduates (Law, Commerce, Finance, Business Admin, etc.)

  • Final exam appeared OR completed within last 6 months

• Postgraduates (MBA, PGDM, Mass Comm, etc.)

  • Final exam appeared OR completed within last 6 months

🔹 For PhD/Research Scholars:

• Must be registered with a recognized Indian university

• Recommendation letter required from supervisor

• Areas: AI, ML, Big Data, Blockchain, Digital Economy, Cyber Laws, Public Policy

 Internship Duration

• Minimum: 6 weeks

• Maximum: 12 months

• Completion Certificate only after fulfilling the minimum duration and submission of final project report.

 UIDAI Internship Stipend 2025

*PhD candidates drawing fellowship will receive the gap amount only.

 UIDAI Internship Locations

• UIDAI Head Office – New Delhi

• UIDAI Technology Centre – Bengaluru

• All Regional & State Offices of UIDAI across India

 Selection Process

• Conducted by respective UIDAI office/centre/division.

• May involve screening, document verification, and/or personal/virtual interview.

• No TA/DA will be provided for interviews.

• Decision of UIDAI’s designated authority will be final and binding.

 How to Apply

1. Online Application – Will be announced on UIDAI website OR

2. Email CV + Documents – As per instructions in Annexure-E

3. If currently enrolled, submit sponsorship/NOC from Head of Institution.

4. Pass-outs do not need NOC but must apply within 6 months of result declaration.

5. Originals must be verified at the time of joining.

 Important Guidelines

• Bring your own laptop for official work.

• Accommodation and travel to be arranged by the intern (basic lodging may be available at UIDAI Technology Centre on payment basis).

• Internet access and desktop PC (if required) may be provided at UIDAI premises.

 Completion Requirement

• Final project report submission (soft + hard copy)

• Submit No Dues Certificate in UIDAI-prescribed format
