The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) invites experienced and qualified aviation professionals for multiple operations, safety, engineering, and control roles for helicopter shuttle operations, primarily related to Char Dham Yatra 2026. All positions are contractual, extendable as per operational requirements.

1. Senior Pilot

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline

  • Retired from active command within the last 3 years

  • Must have operated Char Dham helicopter shuttle operations

  • Should have held CHPL during flying tenure

  • Proven leadership role in aviation operations

Roles & Responsibilities

Flight Oversight & Pilot Mentorship

  • Review and approve daily sortie plans, route selection, weather assessments, and VFR/IFR considerations

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring to pilots on mountain flying techniques, risk assessment, and decision-making

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Management

  • Maintain, revise, and implement flight operations manuals, emergency checklists, and SOPs as per DGCA/UCADA regulations

  • Lead quarterly SOP review meetings and integrate learnings from incident and safety investigations

Safety & Regulatory Liaison

  • Act as the primary interface for DGCA/UCADA audits related to pilot training, licensing, and currency

  • Conduct pre-flight safety briefings and simulate in-flight emergency scenarios

Crew Scheduling & Currency Tracking

  • Oversee pilot rostering ensuring compliance with duty-time limits, rest cycles, and altitude acclimatization

  • Monitor pilot currency on mountain routes, special equipment, and refresher requirements

Flight Data Review & Quality Assurance

  • Analyze flight recorder data including fuel trends, engine parameters, and altitude profiles

  • Review post-flight logs, document deviations, and recommend corrective or remedial training

Emergency Response Leadership

  • Act as Incident Commander during emergencies until command transfer

  • Coordinate rescue operations and liaise with NDRF, Army Aviation, and emergency agencies

Tenure

  • Valid till Yatra 2026, extendable as per UCADA requirement

Salary & Perks

  • ₹1,80,000 per month (Consolidated, inclusive of all taxes and allowances)

2. Operations Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management / Aeronautical Engineering / Aviation Security or related discipline

  • Fluent in English and Hindi (knowledge of Garhwali/Uttarakhand dialects preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum 05 years in aviation operations

  • At least 02 years managing helicopter operations in mountainous or high-altitude environments

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily flight schedules, VFR briefings, crew rostering, and weight-balance checks

  • Implement and monitor the Safety Management System (SMS) including hazard analysis and incident investigations

  • Inspect helipad infrastructure including FATO/TLOF, firefighting systems, CCTV, weather cameras

  • Manage passenger manifests, IRCTC booking compliance, and emergency evacuation protocols

  • Liaise with DGCA, district administration, NDRF, Army, Police during inspections and disaster operations

  • Prepare daily situation reports and monthly performance analytics

  • Enforce acclimatization and medical fitness protocols

  • Conduct fire drills, first-aid drills, and mass casualty simulations

  • Perform any additional duties assigned by UCADA

  • Till Yatra 2026, extendable

Salary

  • ₹60,000 per month (Consolidated)

3. Assistant Manager – Operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management / Aeronautical Engineering or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 05 years in helicopter operations or airside coordination

  • Hands-on experience with VFR planning, crew rostering, slot management

Roles & Responsibilities

Flight Coordination

  • Verify aircraft readiness including crew reports, pre-flight inspections, and load sheets

  • Prioritize flights based on weather windows, passenger load, and emergency needs

Slot Control & Monitoring

  • Allocate and manage helipad take-off and landing slots

  • Monitor real-time slot occupancy and resolve conflicts

  • Maintain audit logs of slot changes and justifications

Operational Communication

  • Coordinate continuously with pilots, base managers, and ground teams

  • Escalate technical, manpower, or infrastructure issues with mitigation plans

Flight Tracking & Reporting

  • Track sorties from departure to landing

  • Compile slot utilization and deviation reports

Mobile & Emergency Coordination

  • Maintain real-time communication via radio, mobile, satellite, and backup channels

  • Trigger emergency alerts and mobilize standby teams

4. Aviation Engineer

Qualification

  • Engineering graduate in Mechanical / Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum 05 years in aviation maintenance and operations

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Audit pilot licenses, medicals, ratings, and currency records

  • Review helicopter airworthiness certificates, maintenance logs, and AD compliance

  • Inspect helipad surfaces, aprons, firefighting equipment, and ground-handling tools

  • Coordinate with maintenance agencies for defect rectification

  • Maintain compliance logs and submit weekly technical reports

5. ICCCC Operator

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 05 years in airport/heliport/helidrome terminal management

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) operations, layout, passenger flow, and amenities

  • Supervise check-in, boarding, arrivals, and assistance desks

  • Lead operator staff including training, rostering, and performance management

  • Handle passenger complaints, irregularities, and emergency evacuations

  • Ensure DGCA/BCAS compliance and terminal safety

  • Prepare operational dashboards and performance reports

  • Support terminal upgrades and passenger experience initiatives

6. VHF / Mobile Controller

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline

  • Valid RT License holder

Experience

  • Minimum 03 years in ATC assistance / helipad coordination / control tower roles

  • Maintain continuous VHF communication with helicopters

  • Relay landing clearances, weather updates, and base status

  • Coordinate mobile communication for flight updates and emergencies

  • Monitor flight movements and slot coordination

  • Maintain communication logs and support audits

  • Act as emergency communication focal point
