SMOI is recruiting 17 Young Professionals (Extension Services) to be posted in 10 major cities across India.

Location-wise Vacancy Distribution:

• Bengaluru (Central Office) – 3 vacancies
• Bengaluru (Field Office) – 2 vacancies
• Chennai – 2 vacancies
• Hyderabad – 2 vacancies
• Mumbai – 1 vacancy
• Palakkad – 1 vacancy
• New Delhi – 1 vacancy
• Varanasi – 1 vacancy
• Guwahati – 2 vacancies
• Srinagar – 1 vacancy
• Kolkata – 1 vacancy

Total vacancies: 17

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Sericulture, Agriculture, or an equivalent field.

Age Limit:

• The candidate must be 30 years or below as of 31 January 2025.

Preferred Skills & Requirements:

• Strong understanding of the silk industry and extension services.
• Knowledge of regional languages will be preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and communication skills.
• Candidates belonging to the respective state/region will be given preference.

 Important Dates

• Notification Release Date: 05 March 2025
• Application Deadline: 25 March 2025 (11:59 PM)
• Interview Date: To be communicated via email to shortlisted candidates.

 Selection Process

The selection process will include:

✅ Screening of Applications – Based on eligibility criteria and merit.
✅ Shortlisting – Candidates will be notified via email.
✅ Personal Interview – Conducted at designated locations, with a 1:5 ratio (5 candidates for 1 post).

📌 No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

 General Instructions

• This engagement is purely contractual, valid till 31 March 2027, with no claim for permanent employment.
• Candidates must apply for only one location/chapter as per their state of residence and language proficiency.
• Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) will apply as per government norms.
• Employees will be required to travel for official duties and will be eligible for TA/DA as per Level-3 cadre.
• Selected candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or relieving letter from their previous employer before joining.
• One leave per month is permitted, subject to approval by the competent authority.
