The Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Research Assistant and Field Investigator under the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Major Research Project titled “The Back to Village (B2V) Program: Enhancing Grassroots Democracy and Socio-Economic Development in Jammu and Kashmir”. This is a temporary academic opportunity offering hands-on research exposure to motivated scholars in social sciences.

Project Title: The Back to Village (B2V) Program: Enhancing Grassroots Democracy and Socio-Economic Development in Jammu and Kashmir

1. Name of the Post: Research Assistant
Number of Posts: 01 (One)
Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks and NET/M.Phil/Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification: Proficiency in SPSS, excellent writing skills
Remuneration: ₹37,000/- per month (consolidated)
Duration: Initially for 1 year (extendable based on project needs)

2. Name of the Post: Field Investigator
Number of Posts: 01 (One)
Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks
Desirable Qualification: Experience in fieldwork, willingness to travel across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir
Remuneration: ₹20,000/- per month (consolidated)
Duration: 6 months only

Terms & Conditions

• The positions are purely temporary and contractual.

• Appointments may be terminated at any time if performance is unsatisfactory.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
