Positions and Vacancies

1. Joint General Manager (Tunnel Construction Expert)

   • Vacancy: 1 (Unreserved)

   • Maximum Age: 50 years (as on 13.07.2025)

   • Minimum Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution.

   • Minimum Post-Qualification Experience: 12 years in tunnel construction supervision and management.

2. Deputy General Manager (Alignment Expert – Yard Specialist)

   • Vacancy: 1 (Unreserved)

   • Maximum Age: 50 years (as on 13.07.2025)

   • Minimum Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution.

   • Minimum Post-Qualification Experience: 9 years in the design of railway yard plans and ESP.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess degrees recognized by AICTE, from universities established under central or state legislation or deemed universities as per the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) equivalent to a degree as recognized by the Government of India and AICTE will also be accepted.

Experience will be calculated up to 13.07.2025.

Relaxations & Concessions

• Reservation and relaxation will be provided as per Government of India orders for EWS, SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PWD, Ex-Servicemen, and J&K domicile candidates where applicable.

• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per rules.

• Persons with disabilities (PWD) with at least 40% relevant disability will be eligible for a 10-year age relaxation and other concessions.

• PWD candidates must meet the physical and functional requirements for the post.

Selection Process

• All candidates who submit their applications will undergo document scrutiny for eligibility verification.

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, which carries 100% weightage (65% technical/professional proficiency and 35% personality, communication, and competency).

• Minimum qualifying marks in the interview are 60% for Unreserved/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD candidates against reserved posts.

• Candidates must produce original documents for verification during the selection process.

• The appointment will be subject to medical fitness according to RITES standards.

• Interviews may be conducted in Hindi or English.

Nature and Period of Engagement

• The appointment will be purely on a contract basis initially for one year, extendable subject to performance and mutual consent.

• Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India based on company requirements.

Remuneration

• Joint General Manager (Tunnel Construction Expert): Pay scale ₹80,000 to ₹2,20,000 with approximate CTC of ₹22.2 LPA.

• Deputy General Manager (Alignment Expert): Pay scale ₹70,000 to ₹2,00,000 with approximate CTC of ₹19.4 LPA.

Benefits include basic pay, DA, fixed/variable allowances (23% of Basic Pay), HRA/Lease, PF contribution, gratuity, leaves, maternity leave, medical facilities, accident/death insurance, and leave encashment. Actual remuneration depends on place of posting and terms.

• EWS/SC/ST/PWD candidates: ₹300 + taxes.

2. Apply online through the Career section of the RITES website: http://www.rites.com.

3. After submission, note down the generated Registration Number for future correspondence.

4. Provide correct identity proof details, which will be required at later stages.

5. Print and retain a copy of the application form with registration number.

6. If called for document verification, bring self-attested copies of required documents in the following order:

   • Recent passport size photograph

   • Proof of Date of Birth (10th certificate)

   • Academic and professional certificates & mark sheets

   • Category certificate (if applicable)

   • Identity and address proof

   • PAN Card

   • Experience proof certificates

   • Disability certificate (if applicable)

7. Upload all relevant documents during online application. Hard copies should not be sent by post. Originals to be produced during document scrutiny.

8. Experience certificates and salary proof (Form 16, salary slips, etc.) must be submitted during document verification.

9. Community and disability certificates must be in the format prescribed by the Government of India.

10. Candidates can apply for multiple posts but must submit separate applications for each.
