Available PhD Programmes
1. Ph.D. Full-Time (Regular)
Without Entrance Test: Candidates with valid GATE / UGC-NET / JRF / DST INSPIRE Fellowship are exempt from the national-level test. They will be shortlisted based on eligibility and called for Interview/Presentation.
With Entrance Test: Non-GATE/NET candidates must qualify the NIT Jalandhar national-level test followed by Interview/Presentation. Eligible candidates may receive Institute Fellowship as per rules.
2. Ph.D. Full-Time (Sponsored)
3. Ph.D. Full-Time (Self-Sponsored)
4. Ph.D. Part-Time (Employed/External)
5. Ph.D. Part-Time (Project Staff)
6. Ph.D. Full-Time with External Fellowships (JRF/DST INSPIRE etc.)
Note: Admission to all categories will be based on Interview/Presentation followed by interaction with the Department Admission Committee.
