The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for various Group A, B, and C Non-Teaching Positions on a regular basis.
The National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) is one of the 31 NITs in India, established in 2010 under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, science, and technology. Located in Farmagudi, Ponda, Goa, the institute is known for its high academic standards, state-of-the-art research facilities, and industry collaborations. Age Limit: 35 Years
Group B Positions (Pay Level-06, PB-2, GP ₹4200/-)
5. Technical Assistant – 04 Vacancies
6. Superintendent – 01 Vacancy
7. Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) – 02 Vacancies
Age Limit: 30 Years
Group C Positions
8. Technician – 03 Vacancies (Pay Level-03, PB-1, GP ₹2000/-)
9.Senior Technician – 04 Vacancies (Pay Level-04, PB-1, GP ₹2400/-)
10. Senior Assistant – 01 Vacancy (Pay Level-04, PB-1, GP ₹2400/-)
11. Office Attendant – 02 Vacancies (Pay Level-01, PB-1, GP ₹1800/-)
Age Limit: 27-33 Years (as per post)
Eligibility Criteria
– Educational Qualification & Experience: As per the Recruitment Rules (2019) for Non-Teaching Staff in NITs, notified by the Ministry of Education (MHRD) vide No. F.35-5/2018-TS.III dated 20.02.2019 & 04.04.2019.
– Minimum Marks Requirement: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in their degree/diploma.
Age Relaxation
– One-time age relaxation of 15 years for individuals working at NIT Goa on Ad-hoc/Temporary/Contractual/Outsource basis.
– Departmental Candidates: Up to 5 years as per NIT Recruitment Rules.
-Other reservations & relaxations as per Government of India norms.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Written Test (90 minutes)
For All Posts (Part A):
1.General Knowledge & Awareness
2. Quantitative Aptitude
3. Reasoning Ability
4. General Ability
5. Computer Fundamentals
For Technical Posts (Part B): Domain-specific questions in Engineering & Applied Sciences.
1.For Ministerial/Administrative Posts (Part B): Government Office Procedures, NIT Rules, MS Office, RTI Act, Pension Rules, Financial Management, Service Matters, etc.
The top 1:10 ratio of candidates will be shortlisted for Stage-2.
Stage 2: Skill Test
1. Candidates qualifying Stage 1 will appear for a Skill Test, which will be of qualifying nature only.
2. The final merit list will be based on the Stage 1 exam scores.
