About the Scheme:
The National Overseas Scholarship Scheme (NOS) is a flagship program of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, designed to provide financial support to students from low-income families belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), De-notified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers, and Traditional Artisans. The scholarship enables them to pursue higher education (Masters & Ph.D. courses) in reputed foreign universities.
