Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & Junior Project Fellow (JPF) Recruitment 2026 | Walk-in Interview | Uttarakhand Forest Department

The Office of Conservator of Forests, Yamuna Circle, Dehradun, Uttarakhand has released an official notification for the engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Junior Project Fellow (JPF) on a purely contractual and temporary basis through Walk-in-Interview.

The engagement is for research and field-level work related to Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR), CAT Plans, Eco-Restoration Works, and Green India Mission (GIM) in various divisions of the Yamuna Circle.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)₹37,000 per month (for NET qualified candidates) + HRA as admissible
Junior Project Fellow (JPF)₹25,000 per month (for non-NET candidates) + HRA as admissible

Educational Qualification

🔹 Essential Qualification (For JRF & JPF)

Post Graduate (PG) Degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:

  • Forestry

  • Botany

  • Zoology

  • Life Science / Experimental Biology

  • Environmental Science

  • Biological Sciences / Wildlife Science

  • Hydrology / Geology

  • Allied Science

  • Remote Sensing & GIS

  • Geography

  • Surveying or similar disciplines

👉 NET qualification or any other National-level examination conducted by Central Government departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DCS, DRDO, NHRD, ICMR, IITs, IISER, etc. is required for JRF.

🔹 Additional Qualification (For JPF)

  • BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute (also eligible for JPF).

Desirable Experience

  • Minimum 01 year of working experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 35 years
    (Age will be calculated as on the date of advertisement)

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on:

    • Educational qualification

    • Desirable experience

    • Personal interview

  • The selection committee may shortlist candidates if applications are large in number.

Candidates must bring the following documents at the time of interview:

  1. Educational qualification certificates (from matriculation onwards)

  2. Experience certificates

  3. Recent passport-size photographs

  4. Aadhaar Card

  5. NET / National-level exam qualification certificate (if applicable)

 Nature of Engagement

  • Purely temporary and contractual

  • Engagement will be field-based for forestry and wildlife-related research activities

  • No claim for regularization shall be entertained
