Organization Details:

The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) is a statutory body responsible for regulating electricity across Goa and Union Territories (UTs). It aims to ensure transparency, consumer protection, and fair electricity practices. The Commission periodically invites applications for roles in its Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) to enhance consumer service mechanisms. Currently, JERC is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Independent Member in CGRF for Goa, Chandigarh, and Puducherry.

• Job Requirement: As per Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003 and JERC (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2024

• Tenure: 3 years, extendable by another 3 years or up to the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹60,000/- (Consolidated)

• TA/DA: Applicable only for Puducherry posting – as per Central Govt. Class-I Officer (Deputy Secretary Level 12) norms

Qualification Details:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and should have at least 10 years of experience in handling consumer affairs. Retired government/public sector officials with relevant experience will be preferred.
