Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong research background in Physical Sciences, Thermal Sciences, or Fluid Mechanics. Research contributions should be demonstrated through publications, patents, or technology development.

  • Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply. However, the final selection will be subject to the award of the Ph.D. degree.

  • M.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or an equivalent discipline with a minimum of three years of relevant research experience and a strong publication record.

Preferred Skills and Expertise

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be given preference:

  • Multiphase Flows and Heat Transfer

  • Surface Science and Engineering

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Fluid Mechanics

  • Acoustics and Vibration Analysis

Age Limit

The age limit will be as per ANRF/DST norms. Candidates with significant research experience may be granted relaxation.
