Professor – Computer Science

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field with at least 10 years of teaching or research experience in a recognized institution. Candidates must have published research work in reputed journals and have guided Ph.D. scholars.

Professor – Mathematics

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Mathematics with a minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching and research. Candidates should have a strong research background in applied or pure mathematics with significant publications.

Professor – Physics

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics with at least 10 years of experience in teaching and research. Specialization in theoretical or experimental physics will be preferred.

Professor – Chemistry

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry with a minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience. Candidates with expertise in organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry will be preferred.

Professor – Economics

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Economics with at least 10 years of teaching or research experience. Candidates should have a strong academic record in economic policy, development economics, or related areas.

Associate Professor Recruitment 2025

Associate Professor – Computer Science

• Number of Posts: 2

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science with at least 8 years of experience in teaching or research. Candidates must have published research papers and demonstrated leadership in academic activities.

Associate Professor – Mathematics

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Mathematics with a minimum of 8 years of teaching or research experience. Candidates should have expertise in algebra, calculus, or applied mathematics.

Associate Professor – Physics

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics with at least 8 years of experience in research or teaching. Candidates with contributions to quantum physics, astrophysics, or solid-state physics will be preferred.

Associate Professor – Chemistry

• Number of Posts: 1

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry with a minimum of 8 years of teaching or research experience. Specialization in nanotechnology, materials science, or environmental chemistry is desirable.

Associate Professor – Economics

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Economics with at least 8 years of teaching or research experience. Candidates with expertise in econometrics, international trade, or public finance will be given preference.

Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025

Assistant Professor – Computer Science

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science with NET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. in a relevant field. Candidates should have knowledge of AI, machine learning, or software development.

Assistant Professor – Mathematics

• Number of Posts: 4

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Mathematics with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Candidates with expertise in differential equations, topology, or numerical methods are preferred.

Assistant Professor – Physics

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Preference will be given to candidates specializing in quantum mechanics, nuclear physics, or optics.

Assistant Professor – Chemistry

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Chemistry with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Candidates with expertise in organic synthesis, spectroscopy, or analytical chemistry will be preferred.

Assistant Professor – Economics

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Economics with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Specialization in microeconomics, macroeconomics, or financial economics will be preferred.

Assistant Professor – English

• Qualification: Master’s degree in English with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Candidates with specialization in literature, linguistics, or communication studies are preferred.

Assistant Professor – History

• Number of Posts: 3

• Qualification: Master’s degree in History with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Candidates with specialization in ancient, medieval, or modern history will be given preference.

Assistant Professor – Political Science

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Political Science with NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. Preference will be given to candidates specializing in international relations, political theory, or governance.

Age Limit for Gauhati University Recruitment 2025

• Professor: Maximum age limit is 58 years.

• Associate Professor: Maximum age limit is 55 years.

• Assistant Professor: Maximum age limit is 50 years.

Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per government rules.
