As per the latest UGC norms, the minimum eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor includes:
A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant/allied subject.
The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or should have a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.
For the Principal, a Ph.D. with adequate teaching and administrative experience is required (minimum 15 years of teaching/research/academic administration in HEIs).
