The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), established in 1983, is an autonomous institution supported by apex financial institutions and the Government of Gujarat. EDII serves as a Centre of Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education, Research, and Training. The institute is involved in entrepreneurship development, MSME promotion, and rural development initiatives, with a strong focus on women, youth, and marginalized sections of society. EDII works closely with central and state governments, as well as corporates, to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in rural and semi-urban areas.

Project Background:
The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP), a sub-scheme under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), aims to promote rural start-up enterprises. EDII functions as the National Resource Organization (NRO) for the programme and is implementing SVEP across 15 states in collaboration with State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLM).

Vacancy:

• Mentor/Young Professional (Multiple positions based on location)

Qualification:

• Relevant University qualification in a Management discipline (Business Administration/Rural Development or equivalent) with at least two years of professional working experience.

• Graduate in any stream with at least five years of professional working experience in microenterprise promotion/working with communities.

• Experience in microenterprise promotion or community-based work is essential.

• Experience in promoting collectives/producers companies is a plus.

• Good documentation, reporting skills, and computer literacy.

• Post-graduate qualifications from premier institutes (IRMA, TISS, EDII, NIRD, XIMB) will be considered for the Young Professional position.
