Vacancy Details & Salary
NIT Karnataka is inviting applications for three key administrative roles on a contract basis. The selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated salary of ₹70,000 per month.
1️⃣ Internal Audit Officer – 1 Position
Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Management and Chartered Accountant (CA)/Cost & Management Accountant (CMA).
Experience: Minimum two years in internal audit in reputed institutions such as R&D organizations, CAG Office, PSUs, or Government bodies.
Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as of 21st March 2025.
Salary: ₹70,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting financial audits and compliance checks.
Reviewing financial records, ledgers, tenders, and statements.
Liaising with the CAG office and ensuring statutory compliance.
Stock and asset verification, pre & post-audit work, and recommending financial improvements.
2️⃣ Accounts Officer (Finance) – 1 Position
Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Management along with CA/CMA/M.Com/MBA (Finance).
Experience: Minimum two years as an Accounts Officer/Assistant Registrar handling finance, accounts, or purchase in a reputed institution, PSU, or Government body.
Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as of 21st March 2025.
Salary: ₹70,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing financial transactions and finalizing accounts.
Managing research project finances and audits.
Ensuring compliance with GFR and GST regulations.
Processing payments, salaries, and procurement approvals.
3️⃣ Public Relations Officer – 1 Position
Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Mass Communication/Public Relations/Management along with a First-class Master’s/PG Degree in Journalism/Mass Communication/Management.
Experience: Minimum two years in public relations, media management, or social media at a technical institute or business school.
Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as of 21st March 2025.
Salary: ₹70,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing press releases, media outreach, and public relations.
Coordinating with journalists, media houses, and government agencies.
Developing content for newsletters, blogs, articles, and social media.
Enhancing NITK’s visibility through effective media strategies.
Contract Period: The appointment is for one year, extendable annually for a maximum of three years, based on performance evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a first-class degree in the relevant field, as per the post requirements.
Experience Requirement: A minimum of two years in the relevant domain is mandatory.
Language Skills: Candidates applying for the Public Relations Officer post must be fluent in English, Hindi, and the local language.
Age Relaxation (as per Government Norms)
SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
Selection Process
The selection will be made purely through a walk-in interview. Candidates will be assessed based on:
