IIT Ropar invites applications from Indian Nationals for a Research Associate-I (RA-I) position under the DRDO-CARS funded project titled:
“Process parameters optimization for laser ablation resistive coatings.”
This is a temporary contractual position for a duration of six months, extendable based on project requirements and candidate performance.

1️⃣ Research Associate-I (RA-I) – 01 Position
🔹 Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 6 months, extendable based on performance)
🔹 Fellowship: ₹58,000/- per month + HRA (As per DST norms)
🔹 Project Reference Number: DGNSM/DLJ/PROC(PRR)/24-25/007
🔹 Essential Qualification:
✔ Ph.D. in relevant areas of Mechanical / Aerospace / Production / Manufacturing / Automobile / Welding / Mechatronics / Surface Engineering or equivalent.
✔ Candidates must have at least three research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
✔ A patent will also be considered equivalent to one research paper.
🔹 Desirable Experience:
✔ Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Thermal Spraying & Surface Engineering.

📌 Selection Process
✔ Step 1: Screening of applications based on eligibility criteria.

✔ Step 3: Candidates will receive an email notification regarding the interview schedule by March 31, 2025 (9:00 PM).
📌 Final selection will be based on interview performance and project requirements.
📌 General Terms & Conditions
📍 Contract Duration: Six months or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
📍 Extension: Possible, based on satisfactory performance and project needs.
📍 Workplace: Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar.
📍 No TA/DA: Candidates must arrange their own logistics for attending the online interview.
📍 Institute Rights: IIT Ropar reserves the right to:
- Not fill the advertised position.
