1️⃣ Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 01 Position

🔹 Project Code: GAP0612
🔹 Project Title: Whole Genome Sequencing of MTB Clinical Strains for Determining Drug Resistance and Strain Lineage in India
🔹 Duration: Up to October 5, 2025
🔹 Salary:

• JRF: ₹37,000 + HRA per month
• SRF: ₹42,000 + HRA per month
  🔹 Upper Age Limit: 35 years

🔹 Essential Qualifications:
✔ M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Chemistry from a recognized university.
✔ Candidates must qualify through:

• CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) / GATE
• National-level exams conducted by DST, DBT, ICMR, IISc, IITs, IISERs, etc.

🔹 Desirable Experience:
✔ Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques like:

• Nucleic acid isolation and purification
• PCR and gel electrophoresis
• Sanger sequencing and cloning
  ✔ Genomic/RNA sequencing and library preparation for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is preferred.

2️⃣ Project Assistant-I – 02 Positions

🔹 Project Code: TSP06 / TSP0103
🔹 Duration: Up to March 31, 2026
🔹 Salary: ₹18,000 + HRA per month
🔹 Upper Age Limit: 35 years

🔹 Essential Qualifications:
✔ SSC/10th + ITI in a relevant field from a recognized institute.

🔹 Desirable Experience:
✔ Experience in lab animal handling, including:

• Cage cleaning and bottle washing
• Autoclaving animal house materials (cages, feed, and water)

 General Terms & Conditions

📌 Contractual Position: The appointment is temporary, strictly project-based, and does not guarantee permanent employment with CSIR-CCMB.
📌 Maximum Tenure: The total tenure for project-based roles in any CSIR lab cannot exceed 5 years.
📌 Work Hours: Monday–Friday (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM), may include weekends or holidays as per project needs.
📌 Leave Policy: One casual leave per month; no regular leave benefits.
📌 Tax Deductions: Salary is subject to income tax deductions as per government rules.
