• Total Vacancies: 98 (Professor – 36, Assistant Professor – 62 approx; Puducherry & Karaikal campuses combined)

• Pay Scale (7th CPC):

  • Professor: Level 14-A (₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400)

  • Assistant Professor: Level 12 (₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400)

• Age Limit:

  • Professor: Not exceeding 58 years (as on 18.09.2025)

  • Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years (as on 18.09.2025)

  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Govt. servants as per rules

Qualification 

• For Medical Faculty Posts:

  • Medical qualification included in the first/second schedule/Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

  • Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/D.M./M.Ch. as applicable).

  • Required teaching/research experience (12–14 years for Professor, 3 years for Assistant Professor) in recognized medical institutions.

• For Non-Medical Faculty Posts (Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, etc.):

  • Master’s degree in concerned subject from a recognized university.

  • Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.

  • 14 years (Professor) / 3 years (Assistant Professor) of teaching/research experience post-Ph.D.
