Project-Wise Positions & Qualifications

1. JRF (01 Post)

Project: Ecohydrology and Vulnerability Assessment in Groundwater-fed and Snow & Glacial-fed River Systems

• Qualification:
  Master’s in Fisheries Science / Life Sciences / Environmental Sciences with NET or equivalent national level exam

• Desirable:
  Research experience in ichthyofaunal diversity, fish sampling, habitat analysis, thermal tolerance studies
  Willingness to travel in high-altitude areas of Uttarakhand and Sikkim

• Age Limit: Max 45 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)

• Salary: ₹37,000 + HRA per month

• Duration: Initially 1 year (Likely to be extended)

• Location: CICFR Bhimtal + frequent travel

2. Field Assistant (01 Post)

Project: Same as above

• Qualification:
  Bachelor’s in Fisheries Science / B.Sc. in Life Sciences / Environmental Sciences

• Desirable:
  Experience in river fish sampling, plankton sampling in mountainous terrain

• Age Limit: Max 45 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)

• Salary: ₹16,000 (Consolidated)

• Duration: Initially 1 year (Likely to be extended)

• Location: CICFR Bhimtal + field trips in hills

3. JRF (01 Post)

Project: Genome Assembly and Transcriptomics of Himalayan Golden Mahseer (DBT Funded)

• Qualification:
  PG Degree (M.F.Sc / M.Sc / M.Tech) in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Life Sciences with 60% marks and NET/GATE

• Desirable:
  Hands-on experience in bioinformatics, genome annotation, Linux tools, fish husbandry, and strong communication

• Age Limit: Max 35 years (Relaxable: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Women)

• Salary: ₹40,330 per month (₹37,000 + 9% HRA)

• Duration: 2 years or till project completion

• Location: CICFR Bhimtal + field visits
