About the Project

This prestigious and multi-faceted project is focused on the development of comprehensive solutions for aflatoxin detection and standard development, contributing to enhanced food security and public health in India. The project has officially commenced at one of the country’s leading biotechnology incubators.

Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the aflatoxin project, including planning, execution, monitoring, team coordination, and successful delivery. This role demands strong scientific acumen, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Strategy

• Define scope, objectives, timelines, budget, and deliverables

• Contribute to project direction and scalability

2. Execution & Monitoring

• Oversee scientific operations, data analysis, compliance, and timelines

• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards

3. Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate a team of research associates

• Conduct team meetings and performance reviews

4. Budget & Resource Management

• Manage lab resources, inventory, and project costs

• Optimize project expenditure and resource allocation

5. Risk Management

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain high-quality scientific records and reports

• Ensure transparency and data integrity

Qualifications Required

• Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related field

Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience managing scientific R&D projects

• Strong knowledge in at least two of the following areas:

  • PCR/Molecular diagnostics

  • Secondary metabolite purification

  • ELISA or LFA assays

  • Mycotoxin analysis

  • Mycology

• Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving R&D environments

• Commitment to scientific quality and ethical standards
